In our last post, we introduced what Level 7 Aesthetic Training Qualification is and things to consider. What do you all think? Have you all read up more about it?
In the meantime, I had the opportunity to speak to Dr James Olding, Director of Interface Aesthetics, one of the training academies that offers Level 7 Aesthetic Training. We discussed Level 7 Aesthetic Training and he highlighted something crucial which I cannot personally agree more.
“It is important during the Level 7 training to observe EXPERTS doing the training demonstration, not another delegate doing the injectable treatment. You’re going to get a lot less out of that educationally. You do gain things from seeing other people inject, but you need to see the GOLD STANDARD injection being done time and time again. Only then can you go and do your own treatment confidently.”
In a hospital setting when we learn a particular surgery as trainee surgeons, we learn from the qualified trainer, ie: the Consultant Surgeon or a Specialty Registrar who has done multiple of the same surgery and is competent in performing that surgery.
So here we have done our homework and compiled a very comprehensive list of all the training academies approved for providing the Level 7 Aesthetic Qualification.
Just a quick note that the OTHM providers, as discussed in our last blog available here, can be either a certificate or a diploma depending on the credits offered. As an extra, we also provide a list of Masters qualifications out there in aesthetic medicine. Click on the qualifications to find out more.
