Wrinkle lines exist due to repetitive muscle movements. These lines can be static (lines that remain after the muscle relaxes and deepens with age) or dynamic (lines that exist only when expressing emotions and fades after). Wrinkle injection involves the use of active ingredient Botulinum Toxin that is injected into a muscle that causes temporary muscle paralysis. This is what softens the wrinkle lines and creates a more youthful appearance. BOTOX® is one of the most well-known brands, others include BOCOUTURE®, Azzalure® and Dysport®.
This can significantly affect a person’s quality of life. Hyperhydrosis can be either localised to a specific part of body or generalised. Some of the most commonly affected areas are underarms, soles, hands, head/neck and groin area. Botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerve signals responsible for activating your sweat glands.
This is defined as headaches occurring 15 or more days each month, with at least half of those exhibiting migrainous features. The national guidelines (NICE) has recommended that BOTOX® can be used as a preventative option for adults suffering from chronic migraine.
